Current mood: shocked
I know! I can't believe it either!!! Just a few days ago I found her sitting up by herself in her crib and today I find her standing!!!! Oh my goodness Mia slow down!!!
She has been trying and trying to pull herself up to a stand position for awhile now, probably about a week or so if not less, but she never seemed to be able to get up past being able to pull herself up and sit on her feet. I have been watching her practice and practice everyday in her little "octogon/baby jail". She puts her tiny fngers through the holds and tries so hard to pull herself all the way up. She gets close but still hasn't gotten it yet.
So as you can probably guess how shocked I was to find her standing in her crib this morning!!!! Heres how it happened...
I woke up this morning to her being unsually happier than normal. She was screaming, babblings and cooing really loud. So loud it woke up Adrian who never wakes up for anything! So I got up and walked to her room. To my shock she was standing up and holding on to the side of her crib!!! I have no idea how she did it. I quickly ran downstairs and grabbed the camera and took a picture before she could see me. I thought once she saw me she would fall, but she didn't. So I took more pics of her. There she stood all proud of herself. She even held on to the side of the crib with one hand! That scared me so I made her put her hand back. Eventually she fell back into the sitting position and just crawled around. She had no interest in revealing to her Mama just how she managed to get standing because she wouldn't do it again. Haha
I just had to write about her big accomplishment today. We are definately lowering the crib now, I don't want to wake up tomorrow and find her on the floor!
