Happy Friday Everyone! I cannot believe another full week has zoomed past me! I am trying to listen to my own advice and writing this blog during the day. Luckily Dada volunteered to put our little Ms. Fuss Fuss to bed for a nap so I actually have free time during the afternoon! WHOOHOO!!! So here we go...
Mia decided to scare Mama this week into believing she wanted back into her crib. She recently learned how to scale the side rail of her crib and jump in and out by standing on her big girl bed (both beds are next to each other). The first day she did it she REFUSED to get out of her crib! She even tried to take a nap in it! Luckily it was short lived and she hasn't climbed back inside.... yet.
She has also become our little actress. Though she has pretended to be asleep with me, she had yet to do it with her Dada until this week. One night Adrian snuck into her room to open her window (her room was really stuffy and hot) and he thought she was asleep (it was midnight!) She was laying on her back and not moving... he stared and her to check but couldn't make out if her eyes were open or not (the room was very dark). Then all of a sudden he heard her famous "fake snore" haha she was trying to trick him into thinking he was sleeping... silly girl!
I also took Mia for a walk to visit the Emu farm down the road. I had not taken her there since I first became pregnant months ago. She had fun watching all the animals but she kept saying "Go... GO!" trying to chase them away! haha She saw some Emu, a huge Llama a heard of goats, and two little ducks ... oh and TONS of squirrels running around. We both had fun but it eventually got really HOT so the walk home was not so fun. Not sure if I will be taking her back anytime soon! haha
Every week she is starting to talk more and more. She repeats words now and really tries to communicate verbally. Though most of her words are hard to understand we know what she is trying to say. Adrian has been working with her with flash cards and she really seems to like it. I can't wait until she can talk.. well maybe I can.. shes a big chatter box as it is in baby talk I can only imagine of what it will be like when she is talking!!!! haha
Well thats about it for the week. This weekend is Mothers Day so I am sure I will have a new blog to write about. Till then I think I will grab a snack and rest on the couch!
