Mia's First Baby Sibling Dr. Appointment

Current mood: impressed

Today was a big day for all of us, especially Mia. She was going to be able to go with her Mama and Daddy to her very first baby sibling appointment!

To be honest, I was a bit nervous on how she would act in both the waiting room and doctor's office but Adrian kept reassuring me that he would have things under control. Of course me, being the over prepared Mama, still had a back up plan just incase things went horribly wrong. I planned on stuffing her up with snackies in case of an emergency melt down. So I made sure she ate a light lunch.

She did good on the ride there and didn't even mind being put in her stroller. Infact she smiled and was happy to be pushed around. I checked in and right away we were taken back. Adrian and Mia waited in the examination room while I had my vitals taken. Once the nurses were done with me I was able to rejoin Mia and Adrian in the examination room.

When I got inside I found Mia playing happily with a little toy that was in the room. I won't even try to describe this toy but I did take a picture of Mia playing with it. She had a blast and we didn't even end up needing the snackies after all!

The doctor soon came in and was so happy to see us all again. The last time she saw Adrian was about a month before Mia was born and the last time she saw Mia was when she was a month old!! WOW! I have been seeing the same OB since 2005 so we have a great relationship. She said hi to Mia and of course Mia put her head down and acted shy.

Then the doctor started to examen me and Mia began to worry and looked scared!!! I didn't understand why until my doc said "Don't worry I am not hurting your Mama" I agreed with her and soon Mia was back to playing with her toy.

The visit went AWESOME. All my labs came back great AND we got a special treat! another ultra sound!! So we got to see our little pumpkin early! That was alot a fun, especially since we got to see them move their arm around and suck their thumb. Mia didn't really seem to interested in all of that and just continued to play with her new toy.

After the visit was over I rewarded Mia with a BIG apple! She was happy with that, and soon we all left to go home.

Wow what a great visit! I could not ask for a better one than that. Mia was on her best behavior and I am so proud of her!
