Current mood: accomplished
Thats right! Mia is "Movin' on Up!" in her progression to her big girl bed. We first had her sleep on just the mattress on the floor, to see how she would adjust. To our surprise (mostly mine since I am a over protective paranoid Mama) she only fell out of her bed that one time (her first night). I thought for sure she would fall out more than that but she never did. So after a week of sleeping in her bed with no incidences we finally decided to upgrade her bed and put the box spring underneath it.
I was a little nervous since she would be higher off the ground but it did make a huge difference in how the bed felt. It was much more comfortable and Mia loved it! She loves to climb on and off the bed and bounce around on it since it more springy now.
So last night was the big night. She slept in her big girl bed with the box spring and no bed rails (though I still think we should get them.. Adrian says she doesn't need them). She woke up this morning fully rested, no bruises AND she didn't fall off once!!! YAY!!! My girl is a big girl now and I am so proud of her. I hope this trend continues and she doesn't fall off her bed at all, but I am still prepared incase she does. There are pillows all lined up on the floor just in case.
