Current mood: tired
Holy Cow! Mia is 90 weeks old!!! She is almost 100! haha I guess it just sounds alot, but in reality is isn't even 2 yet!
This week has been filled with lots of fun and adventures! Mostly for Mia since Mama is still battling with her sickness, but even that is showing signs of getting somewhat better (except for today when I couldn't stop throwing up... that was NOT fun)
Anyway this week started with two Easter Egg Hunts!!! Mia finally took the plunge into the hay and is slowly working her way into becoming a pro Eggie Hunter! My Dad was still in town so he got to see her hunt for eggs with her Daddy at the nearby park and grocery store parking lot. It was lots of fun and Mia came away with tons of eggs, prizes and candy! She is now an egg-aholic and is always playing with any tiny plastic eggs she can find in the house. She even hides them herself and finds them with her little Elmo Basket. I think she is practicing for the big day this Sunday!
She is slowly coming into her own now and has been becoming Mama's little comedian!! She is constantly trying to get a laugh or smile out of me. She makes funny faces at me, makes funny sounds and just gives me a sly look that always get a chuckle out of me. I think she is doing her best in trying to cheer up her sick Mama.
The biggest event (well next to to her first Easter Hunts) is the fact she has officially said byebye to the crib and hello Big bed!!!! We have been wanting to transition her for awhile now but this pregnancy has sped up the process for us. I am on restriction on how much I can carry and Mia is too heavy so we are doing our best to try to minimize the amount of times I carry her. So we moved in Adrian's spare full size bed mattress and set it up in her room. The first night didn't go to well, she fell off the mattress, hit her head on the nearby rocking chair and now has a huge bruise on her forehead. The second night she busted her lip open somehow, but the third night went great! Infact so did the fourth night! She is finally getting the hang of it and is no longer falling out of bed. She LOVES her new big bed and can't wait to climb into it during nap/bed time. I have been laying with her just until she fully gets used to it and thats a big treat for her too... and me. I love laying next to my little munchkin at night... that is until she starts to get crazy and kicks me! Ya shes a wild sleeper! Overall I think the transition has gone pretty well, other than a couple of hiccups in the beginning. We might move in the box spring this weekend and raise her bed. That will be another test... she will be higher which means a higher fall, but sleeping on a mattress on the floor isn't the most comfortable way to sleep. We will see though. Another good thing is, no matter what time I get her up in the morning, even if shes been awake for awhile, she will not get off the bed until I am in the room. That is just a bonus because I don't have to worry about her getting into stuff in her room. Not sure how long that will last, but I am enjoying it while she is still doing it.
Thats about it for the week. I have written longer blogs about each event if you want to read more. I am really tired and still pretty sore from the vomiting this morning so I am going to go rest. Happy Early Easter!!!
