Fun at Red Robin

Current mood: blissful

After the stairs incident we decided to head off to Red Robin for some lunch/dinner. We have been talking about going there for weeks now and finally we had some time. We all were feeling pretty good, not to tired, and were starving!

Again Red Robin is literally down the road a bit, probably only a 10 min drive (quicker if you get all green lights) and its one of our favorite places to eat. Once we got there we got a giant table and Mia sat between myself and Adrian. They gave her some crayons so she colored a bit but got bord pretty fast. We then gave her a toy we packed, that lasted even less before she got bored with that too! Oh-no!! Thats when I busted out the snackies and she did very good after that.

We weren't sure what to order her. She has had almost everything on the children's menu and she doesn't like ANY of it other than the sides (apples slices or cantaloupe). Mac and Cheese was out, so was the chicken quesadilla and grilled cheese... next up?... pizza!!! We figured if she didn't like the whole pizza she might like the cheese or bread crust.

We all ordered our food. My Dad even got the chief's speciality... he made a hamburger special for my Dad since they didn't carry the type of hamburger my Dad originally went in there for. How nice is that?! They always treat us so good at Red Robin, their service is always beyond excellent. I ordered my hawaiian smoothie and shared my pinepple piece with Mia, who loved it.

While we waited for our food, Mia played some more, ate and Grandpa even got her a red balloon (her favorite). Once our food came we all chowed down. We gave Mia some apple slices as we waited for her pizza to cool down. Once it was ok to eat, Adrian gave her a tiny piece. She put it in her mouth and right away she spit it back out!! SPPPLLLLLHHHHH!!! Oh-No! She has an entire child's pizza and doesn't even wanna try it!!! Sigh.... so more apple slices she got while we ate our food. Adrian even tried just giving her the cheese but that was spit out even faster.. ah well. Anyways once we were done and almost ready to pack up, Adrian decided to see if she liked the pepperoni and to our shock she did!!! She LOVED the pepperoni! She quickly tried to grab the pizza out of the plate and even managed to rip off a pepperoni herself! When she realized it was all covered in cheese she put it back down and wanted Daddy to give her a clean one! haha It was cute.

After we were done eating we packed up and headed back home where we relaxed to some music, played with Mia and I even baked some cupcakes for later. Ya I am feeling better! Actually today was the first almost pain-free day since the surgery YAY!!! I even picked up Mia and changed her ON HER CHANGING TABLE! (I might add) and it didn't hurt!!! YESSSS! FINALLY I am starting to get better... HOORAY!!!! I am excited by this news but also saddened alittle, only for the fact that now that I know I am getting much better that means that my Dad will be leaving us for good very soon. Nooooooo!!!!!! Well I am glad he was able to help out as much has he has and I am so graitful for all that he has done. Mia too! They both have had a lot of special bonding time these past few weeks and I couldn't ask for anything better.
