Current mood: adventurous
Grandpa surprised us with another visit! YAY! He came down early yesterday evening. He was thrilled to see Mia and Mia was thrilled to see him again. He chased her around and played with her until her bedtime and then rocked her to sleep like he always does.
So today was another fun day. It started with another solo adventure to the store with Grandpa after breakfast. They went to Cardenas in Perris, just to two of them. My Dad said she was alittle angel in the store and they had LOTS of fun. She was even given a free apple for being so cute!! haha The story behind that was, while my Dad was picking out some Gala apples (his and her favorite) Mia decided on trying a new type of apple. She waited until he wasn't looking then grabbed a Green apple off the display and started chomping on it. When Grandpa turned back around she already bit a huge hole in it! OH NO!!! She made a sour face at the apple since it was sour but she kept on eating it. By the end of the shopping trip she literally ate HALF of it all by herself!!! When my Dad went to pay for everything he told the clerk about the apple and was willing to pay for it. The clerk said "no no no its ok she can have it" and commented on how cute she looked! YAY Mia got her free apple!!! haha
After they came home we all rested a bit and Mia went down for a late nap. Once she got up Grandpa fed her some lunch and we packed up to go to the park. We wanted to check out a new park down the road a bit since I knew they had swings and a tiny jungle gym to play with. Daddy had to get ready for work so unfortunately he couldn't go with us, although he did take her to the park across the street yesterday just the two of them.
Once we got the park it was already getting alittle dark. The sun was about to set but it was still pretty light out. After exploring a wall and a tree a bit, Grandpa took Mia to the tiny "little kid" jungle gym. She spun some of the toys there and even made a couple of new friends. A little boy, Noah (about 6-7) and his little sister "cupcake" (haha yes that what he said her name was, and she was about 4-5) Mia doesn't like slides but after watching the little boy go up and down it she began to get some courage. Soon they both were racing each other down (Grandpa held Mia the whole time, she didn't go down solo yet... shes still unsure about that). After that we let her run around a bit and explore on her own. She went to the basketball court and ran all over the place then down a pathway and collected leaves like she always loves to do. Then she ran around in the grass a bit. Grandpa later went back to the car to grab the bubbles I packed. I was watching Mia and as soon as she saw her Grandpa walk away she did all she could to follow him and catch up. She wanted to be with her Grandpa. After he got the bubbles out of the car, I blew them for her. Right away her face lit up with a HUGE smile and she chased some that floated by. She seemed kind of confused by the fact she couldn't touch or catch them since they would pop but she still had lots of fun. Later Grandpa started blowing her some bubbles too and soon she was absolutely COVERED in bubbles! It was too cute! However she didn't like how they popped on her face and she kept trying to cover up but then at the same time she was trying to pop them with her hands. After that we walked around a bit more and it soon became dark and it was time to head back to the car. On our way back to the car we stopped off by the swings real fast. They didn't have the tiny little kid type of swings so Mia had to be a big girl and swing on the big kids swing!!! With Grandpa holding her, and Mia holding onto to each side of the chains he slowly pushed her back and forth. At first she was unsure but she soon started having fun and jibber jabbering and screaming. She had lots of fun and when Grandpa tried to take her off she started crying!!! Oh-No! So back on the swing she went for alittle while longer. Then it really started to get dark and some big kids wanted to swing on the swing next so it was time to go. Mia didn't like this and started to cry a bit, I took her hand and we walked away. She cheered up once Grandpa picked her up and off to the car we went.
After the park we made a quick pit stop to Target for more PopCorn YUM YUM!!! and all three of us shared a cream cheese muffin! After that we went home and Mia ate her dinner and now shes off to bed. Grandpa is rocking her to sleep once again and the house is getting quiet. Phew what a day but TONS of fun! I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
