Mia loves her Grandpa!

Current mood: shocked

Today started off alittle rough. Mia woke up crying her little eyes out at 6am this morning for some unknown reason. When I got up from bed to get her she stopped so I laid back down. She woke up crying again at 7am and thats when I jumped up and went to her room. She was really upset and I couldn't figure out why. I picked her up, cuddled her on the rocking chair and after a few mins. she was back to her ol' chipper self. It was too late to put her back to bed so I figured we'd start our day a bit early.

I fed her breakfast and we watched TV together. I am very tired from not getting enough sleep lately so I mostly stayed on the couch. Soon she was off running about downstairs. She seemed in good spirits, talking, screaming and jibber jabbering to herself.

Then when I heard her giggling and making that high pitched happy scream. I thought she found something in the kitchen to play with (earlier she was playing with her M&M magnets on the fridge). Thats when she came around the corner holding the copy of the book I made as a thank you gift for my Dad. It is one of those photobooks that I designed that has tons of pictures of them together when he stayed here that month during my surgery recovery. I thought it was cute that she picked out that specific book over the other two that were sitting right next to it (her birthday and 1st year book) Then I quickly got concerned that she might distroy the book or chew on it so I had to think fast on how I would take it from her without upsetting her too much. She was so happy holding the book and had this big huge smile on her face I couldn't just rip it from her. So I took quickly took it and before she could protest I asked "look look its Grandpa!" She got all excited and got next to me. I showed her a few more pages in the book and she kept trying to close it to see the cover (The cover is a picture of her Grandpa holding her in his arms as she rests her head on his shoulder) She tried to point to it a few times with her tiny finger. She liked looking at the pictures then she wanted the book back. Uh-oh what to do?! So I figured I'd distract her by asking if she wants milk. Thats the number one and only thing you can do to distract her from something, asking if she wants milk. Usually she will zoom off to the fridge and touch it and wait for you to get there so she can take her milk sippy out. Well this time the "milk idea" didn't really work. When I took the book from her I stood up and again tried to get her to want to get milk. I walked to the kitchen table to put the book on top of it and as I was walking away from her she said "Aaammpa... aaammmpa!.... aaaampa!" (Her version of Grandpa) I was shocked and taken a back. It was the cutest thing EVER! It was the first time she said it on her own without being asked too. AWwww Mia's loves her Grandpa!!!! I turned back around and she was standing right in the livingroom next to the couch. She still didn't care about getting milk which I thought was kinda weird because shes a milk monster. I gave her a kissy and then called up my Dad to share the story with him. Of course he just melted and loved it.

I love my little pumpkin shes so cute and never seems to fail at shocking and surprising her Mama AND Grandpa! haha Thats amazin' Mia for ya!
