Wow, here I am again. Seems like I just finished writing Mia's 22 month blog and here I am again! Before I know it, at the blink of an eye, she will be 2!!!! Where did my little baby go?! All I see is a big girl now... a full fledged toddler eagerly waiting to explore the world around her outside our front door. Wow, this is my final monthly blog before she becomes 2! I am still trying to believe that.
Well this month has had many interesting and fun things happen, and I can't wait to see what her final 1 year old month brings. More new surprises? new things? new adventures? I can't wait!
SUMMARY:
Mia got to hear her baby brother's heart beat for the first time and smiled at it
Mia found out she will be having a little brother to boss around soon haha
She is becoming more and more shy, especially around men
She helped me celebrate Mother's Day and spoiled me with a card and gifts
She is saying alot more words now
She is also becoming my little copycat, she copies what she sees people doing, things on TV and what people say
Mia went to Oxnard for the California Strawberry Festival and dressed up as a Strawberry
She got to hang out with her Pizano cousins again
Ate her first Strawberry shortcaked and LOVED it, especially the whipped cream
Had her Grandpa Pizano stay with us a few days for a couple of visits
Competed in another beauty pageant, "Miss American Starlet" with her Grandpa and came away with the "Princess" title
She started making nap/bedtime HORRIBLE, she would constantly cry and freak out if you left her alone (she just recently stopped doing that, but most of the month consisted of it)
She is saying "Mama" and "Dada" ALOT more deliberate now, in order to grab our attention
She LOVES stickers, especially her static window cling ones
She can finally jump off the ground and has since become my little jumping bean!
She goes NUTS over watching people jump
Her new favorite show is "Mickey Mouses' Clubhouse" and says "Oh Tootles!"
Mia is constantly asking for permission to do things shes is unsure about, "Ka?.. Ka?"
She really likes Carlos Santana music
She hid her shoes in a empty computer case and I couldn't find them for 2 weeks!
She went to Orange County for her little friend Koa's 2nd birthday
She rode her first horse, train and jumped solo in the jump for joy at Koa's party
She sings to the Black Eyed Peas "Don't Lie"
She calls out to me if she doesn't want to be left alone in bed, "Mama! Maaaama!"
She took her Grandpa Pizano to the Temecula Duck pond for the first time
We went to Orange County two days in one weekend because we messed up a party time and the very next weekend we did it again only this time in San Diego!
Mia went to San Diego for her Cousin Natalia's 6th birthday
If you ask Mia if she wants a bath, she will quickly say "Bath! Bath!" and then strip down naked and throw her diaper on the floor
She only likes fresh strawberries from Fransico's Fruits (her Grandpa Pizano brought them to her on his last visit) and now refuses to eat any store bought ones
Mia got to ring in summer by splashing around her in pool in the front yard
GOALS MET FROM LAST MONTH?:
Yes!!! She has met the goal of putting multiple words together. She sings "no no no no no lieeee" from the Black Eyed Peas song. She says "Dada go work" or "Mama go pee pee" (yes that was a big emberassing) As for eating a new type of food .... I really can't think of one at the top of my head. She is still very picky! She does like bread alot more and I can give her a slice and she will eat it. She LOVES dried fruit.. especially aprocots. She is back to eating Mama home made beans and LOVES it.
GOALS FOR NEXT MONTH:
Contiune to develop her vocabulary and hopefully have more words and more sentences. Go to bed easier, and not fuss so much. Start to overcome her shyness alittle
