Pool Fun!

Current mood: amused

Turn on the AC, grab a cold water and stay the heck away from upstairs! Yep, its that time again and its heating up, Up, UP! It isn't even officially summer yet and its already hitting the 90s! BLEH!!! I am so NOT looking forward to another HOT Riverside summer.

Well with the temps on the rise we know its only a matter of time before going outside is off limits (It easily gets 100+ during the summer months June-Oct) Mia's park time is slowly coming to an end, and the same with playing in the front yard.

So before it gets boiling outside we decided to drag out her little kiddie pool and let get go for a dip. It has been almost a year since we last let her splash around so it was a HUGE treat. The only bad thing was... we didn't have a bathing suit her size!! Oh-No!!! The biggest one we had is a 2T and she is already in 4T!!!! What to do?!?! I didn't want her to go outside in just a swim diaper so I decided to try to squeeze her in her tiny bathing suit. Luckily it was a two piece so it didn't fit too too small. It did cover what needed to be covered and nothing seem to be cutting off circulation.

So I filled up the pool, threw a few little toys inside and Adrian brought her outside to the front yard. We told her to go ahead and get inside the pool... (or "bath" since she kept calling it that) and after hesitating for a instant she slowly got in. Right away she grabbed her floating ball and started splashing around. Adrian busted out her squirt gun and started squirting her, she liked that too. She had so much fun splashing around, dumping water out of the pool, and watering the nearby tree! The only thing she didn't like is when Dada would sneak up on her and splash her back! She would scream and tell him "No no no!"

I let her have fun for a good hour before I started to get tired. My little fishy could have stayed in the pool all day if I let her but I knew it was time to get out. So with alittle help from Dada we convinced her to get out and go in the house. Of course to do this we had to bribe her with a popsical! haha

Overall it was a blast. I can't wait to do it again. Hopefully the weather will hold up and it won't get to hot to fast. Next time I definately want to introduce her to the wonderful world of water balloons!!!!! haha
