Current mood: uncomfortable
I have been trying to ignore this for awhile now... I am not a very supersitious or religious person. I don't really believe in "ghosts" and stuff but I do believe in angels and spirits. I do believe some supernatural stuff occurs but on a very rare occasion.
Through out my life I have experienced many unexplainable events. Having a hand touch me when no one is there, smelling my Grandma's perfume around me years after she passed away while alone in my apartment 200 miles away, hearing things like footsteps, scratching, etc that are caused by no one being there, and just random stuff like that. I am a very educated person and can pretty much scientifically analyze things and come up with an answer, however, sometimes I just cant.
So with that all being said, I just can't ignore what has been happening lately here at the house. A few months ago we noticed that out of no where and for no reason at all, interferance will come through Mia's baby monitor. No cell phones were going off, no new electronics, nothing turning on or off, no windows open, nothing to cause the large amount of static that would suddenly start, last for about a min. then suddenly stop. Once it got so incredibly loud we had to turn off the monitor (it was loud even with Mia's monitor being on the lowest volume setting). Kinda creepy. Well we didn't think much about it and it happened so rarely we really kind of forgot about it.
Then something really strange happened. It happened on the day my niece Sophia was born, Nov. 23rd. Adrian, Mia and I were going to go out to dinner to celebrate Sophia's birth. Adrian was in the garage buckling Mia into her car seat and I ran back inside the house to grab my car keys. I couldn't find them at first so I was checking around the kitcken table and thats when it hit me. Out of no where, and remind you all the windows and doors were closed and had been all day... but I got a faint smell of flowers. I stopped what I was doing and contiuned to smell around me. Sure enough it got stronger. I tried locating the source but I couldn't. We don't have flowers or scented plants in or outside of the house. Nothing could have been causing that smell. It was a nice smell, at first I thought of my Grandma but it wasn't just roses this time so I didn't think it could be her. It was more like a boquet of flowers. Then it faded. I shook it off and contiuned with my day. I later consulted with a friend of mine and she said maybe I had been visited by a spirit. She mentioned maybe it was my lost baby "Angel" (we lost to a miscarriage Sept. 2nd 2009) I have been thinking ALOT about my baby and feeling very depressed about it again. So I did find some comfort in that thought and just left it at that.
Now something really odd has been happening and now its happening to Mia! Just this week for no reason at all, it seems like something catches her attention and she looks up at the ceiling. The funny thing is... after looking up she starts to dance!!! hahah Ya I know! She will dance (shifting her weight from one leg to the other while keeping her legs straight) and have this very serious look to her. As she looks up she will shift her eyes and head and look from one side to another. Sometimes she will move in a whole circle but mainly she will just look back and forth. She looks as if something was moving back and forth. At first she would do this when music would come on, but now she does it out of no where. Earlier she was in the kitchen and just looked up and started dancing, and to no music!! I caught it on video once and it is kind of odd, especially the look on her face. I tried to research this behavior on the internet but nothing really came up. One site said when kids look up like that its because they see an Angel. Thats a cute thought but still I am still wondering whats causing her to do this... maybe its nothing maybe.. like my Dad said, she probably just discovered the she can look up at the ceiling haha
Well what prompted me to write this down is again the baby monitor just kicked off with its weird static noise again. This time Mia is in bed and nothing is on in the whole house but this livingroom light and computer and Mia's music from her boombox. All these things are kind of creeping me out... maybe its nothing... maybe its something.. I dunno. Just thought I would share.
