Week 74!

Current mood: content

Well I just got though posting a HUGE GIGANTIC blog reviewing the past month. Mia not only turned 74 weeks but 17 months today! So with that, I will not go into to much detail about this past week.

A few new things happened. We found out Mia's new favorite song is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and she loves it when I sing it to her. She will even clap for me afterwards.

We got our Christmas Tree and though Mia didn't pick it out this year, unlike last year, we did still get a good tree. Its the biggest we have ever bought! We even needed to buy a new stran of lights for it since our old lights weren't enough. I drug out our Christmas decorations and of course Mia claimed all the cute little stuffed animals like the Frosty, Santa Clause and all my singing characters too. Her favorite is the miner from the Rudolph movie.. the one that sings "Silver and Gold". She plays him over... and over.... and OVER again and dances each time. When he is done singing she will clap for him too. She loves our Christmas tree... TOO MUCH! We even had to put a babygate around it to keep her away. She loves to pull on the lights and touch EVERYTHING! The only bad thing about blocking her away from the tree is she can no longer put her sippy cups in it, which I thought was really cute. She watched me water the tree once and ever since then she wants to water it too, but with her sippy cups.

I also learned that Mia shouldn't eat Pomagranates anymore. I gave her some seeds to see if she liked them and she LOVED them! She kept coming to me for more seeds. All was well until one got stuck in her throat and she choked. She coughed so hard she started to gag and tears ran down her cheeks. After she got what was bugging her out, she learned that if she coughed and gagged like that Mama and Dada will come rescue her and give her lots of attention. So ya... she started doing it on purpose for the attention. That got old real fast... we got wise to her little scheme and once we ignored her she stopped trying to throw up everywhere haha

She did do an amazing thing this week too. She counted with Elmo! While watching Elmo on TV she copied every number he said by pushing her little number toy thing. She did it all the way to 4!! I am so proud of her.

Thats about it so far. She has had a runny nose for the past two days and been sneezing alot. I think its due to the unusally cold and rainy weather outside. I have been trying to keep her warm and that seems to be helping. I just hope she doesn't come down with a cold. We are supposed to go to the mall today to have her take her picture with Santa AND go to Oxnard tomorrow to meet her newborn baby cousin Sophia. We will see how all that works out. I am sure I will have lots to write about very soon!!
