I keep forgetting to blog about this, and I think its just too cute!!! Mia has a new favorite song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"!
I do not have a singing voice what-so-ever but Mia always makes me feel special after singing this song to her. Whenever I start singing it to her, she gets very happy, she stops whatever she is doing just to dance (if shes sitting in the car she will dance with her hands) and when I am done.. it never fails... but she claps for me!!! HOW CUTE IS THAT?!?!
I have done this for days now and always get the exact same reaction each time. I especially love the clapping afterward. I have never asked her to clap nor have we prompted her to do so, she just does it on her own. Even if shes holding on to something she will put it down just to clap for me. She only does this with this particular song and if "I" sing it to her.
I sang it to her just now as I laid her down for bed. She was half asleep resting on my shoulder as I was rocking her in the chair. I didn't think she would have the energy to clap but sure enough after I stopped singing she sprang up looked at me clapped a few times then laid back down!!!! PRICELESS!!!
I love it! I just had to write about it!
