Good Morning and Happy Friday! Wow! Week 130! It is crazy to believe that my little Butterfly Princess is knocking on the door to 2 and a half! (Actually she will turn this next week!) and getting closer and closer to the big 3! I think its getting near that time to start thinking of what we are doing for her big day. I know her Daddy and I have been talking about taking her to Disneyland. Maybe this time she will stay awake for most of our time there! haha We will see...
As for this week it has been going pretty well. No colds, no huge major disasters. So all in all, its been pretty smooth. What a great start to the New Year!
Mia not only celebrated the New Year but she got a special visit from her Grandparents (Pizano) this week. They came by to celebrate a belated Christmas so you know what that means... Mia was showered with presents again! She had a blast opening them all and made out like a bandit! Her new favorite things to play with are, her musical coloring toy while sitting at her Princess Table with her brother's Sponge Bob next to her haha. Such a sweetheart. Speaking of Sponge Bob she is now obsessed with carrying it all over the place with her. She even sleeps with him!
Anyway, the visit went very well and she got in some bonding time with the Grandparents. She even showed off her singing skills by singing baby baluga and Twinke Twinkle Little Star. Then she showed them how she knew her letters by telling her Grandpa what they were as he wrote them. Such a smart little girl.
She started off the new year good too! She not only learned how to blow a blower but got really excited about poppers (mostly because of the streamers that came out of them). She became obsessed with wearing her New Years hat and insisted her brother do the same. She also put a booger on the wall! haha I had to sneak that one in there.
She is getting better and better at riding her little scooter and as a reward Daddy bought her a brand new one!!! This one is so much better than her old one, not only because its new and not broken up, but the base is alot wider so she can balance better. She even got to take it out to the park for a test drive and did really well. While at the park she showed Daddy that she could slide down the slide a new way as well! She now lays down like a turtle (with her feet up) and slides down. Its the funniest thing to see. And yesterday she modified her turtle slide a bit... now she puts her feet in the air, crosses them, and puts her hands behind her head! Aye.. silly girl!
Another huge thing happened this week. She learned the ABC song and whats more amazing is that I didn't teach it to her. Not sure where she picked it up but she sings the entire song! I have been trying to capture it on video and though I did once, it wasn't the full version. She loves to sing the song all around the house now.. its really cute.
She loves applesauce now and that is her new favorite thing to ask for... which reminds me.. I think we need to go to the store to pick some up!
She is also sharing with her brother more. She not only covers his cold feet with her treasured blankets but gives him toys too and shakes them in front of him trying to get him to smile. The only bad thing is, she loves to THROW things so when she wants to give her brother something she usually throws it....poor little Alex gets stuffed animals thrown at his head alot.
Thats about it for the week. I need to start the day since the neighbor cats were fighting and woke up the kids so I am off to start my day early.
