Good Morning Everyone and Happy Friday! Though Mia reached a HUGE milestone this week (She officially turned 2.5) her brother Alex pretty much dominated the week. Hence why there aren't many blogs about her this week. We have had our hands full with the little guy and his changed eating habits so we have been running around dealing with that. That hasn't stopped Mia from being heard though! She still lets us know who really runs this house! haha
Mia is getting better and better at singing her ABC song, infact its one of her favorite songs to sing even while alone in her room. It is the cutest thing to listen to her sing even if she is off key a bit. She also likes to sing Jingle Bells and the Lincoln Park song "Shadow of the day". I really need to try harder in capturing her singing but she really doesn't like the camera. Whenever she sees it she right away wants "see videos? see videos" so I have to stop and show her any videos I have on the camera and they have to be HER. She doesn't really care for her brother's videos haha
She is playing by herself alot more and pretending. I love how she gives little voices and little narrations to her toys. It reminds me of what I used to do so much. I can see already that her imagination is so vivid.
Sponge Bob has been the theme of this week. She LOVES her brother's Sponge Bob toy still, and can easily sit through any Sponge Bob marathon on TV. I can't STAND the show but I am slowly becoming numb to it just like I did with Elmo. If I can tune it out then it isn't so bad. The only bad thing is she demands that I sit on the couch and watch it with her... ugh.. thats when its tough on me. I can't stand that Sponge!!! haha
She is also a Waffle monster, if she had it her way she would eat waffles 24/7! They aren't Eggos either, they are the ones you cook with a waffle iron AND she has to help me too! So if I make them I have to make sure she has her own little cup of batter so she could "Stir stir stir... mix mix mix" and I have to pick her up and help her pour the batter into the iron. I HAVE to do this at least once or else we have a very upset Mia on our hands. She always wants to "help Mama".
I took her out grocery shopping with me one day and that was lots of fun. I forgot how much fun it is to take her out to run errands, maybe that is why Daddy takes her out so much. Speaking of which, Adrian took her down to San Diego with him this past weekend as well. She not only met a nice couple who were renting a condo he was checking out (they fell in love with her and was given a pinecone) but she got to visit her Grandma Rebecca and Grandpa Fernando too! Not to mention her cousins Brianna and Natalia as well. She had lots of fun there and came back with two princess bowls and other goodies.
She is getting better and better at night time. Infact we almost went an entire week where she let me leave early (before she fell asleep) and didn't even cry! Of course as soon as I closed the door she popped out of bed, turned on the light, and started to play. I don't mind though, sure beats her screaming and banging and thumping.
Well thats about it for the week. I can't wait to get her up this morning, I finally put her Princess Talking Kitchen set together last night and I can't wait to see her reaction to it. I am sure I will have lots of picture to post... that is if she likes it and if Alex isn't screaming in the background! haha
