Today was an unexpected special day for Mia and I. We made pancakes together for the first time! I wasn't really planning on cooking with her but when she seemed really interested in "helping Mama" I just couldn't turn her down.
I was in the middle of mixing some pancake mix for Mia's pancakes so I divided the mix into two cups, one for me and one for Mia. I gave Mia a tiny bit of mix in her cup and showed her how to mix it with a fork. She had fun with this. Then when it was all mixed I picked her up, turned off the flame on the stove, then helped her pour the mix into the pan. She was all excited about this and wanted to do it again. So when the pancake was done we did it again, however, this time I had her pour the mix into the pan by herself and boy was it a mess!!!! Mix was flying all over the pan and stove! I expected it though, I thought it was really cute anyway.
So we made a couple more pancakes then we sat down together at the table and shared our pancakes together. It was a fun moment for the both of us.
