Current Mood: Amused
The older and older Mia gets the more she seems to crack me up. There is no cease to her curiosity and she is always trying to find new ways to figure out stuff.
Recently she has discovered she can explore in her room when her Mama and Dada leave. Usually this is only happens during naptime since the sun is out and her room is well lit, at night she goes right to bed. Every naptime we can hear her running around upstairs in her room, getting into things and chattering. Recently she has discovered how to unplug her baby monitor, turn off her fan, and turn up the sound on her radio so loud that its booming... literally!
Well this morning started off pretty quietly. I got up pretty early, fixed myself a small breakfast and was reading my diabetes literature on the couch. Then about 8:30am I heard the familiar chatter over the monitor. Yep, Mia was awake. I was going to get her after I was done doing one last thing... well that didn't happen. Before I knew it I heard her run across her room, stop, and then the volume of her radio go to max level!!!! Yep, it was so loud over the monitor I had to jump up and turn it off. It didn't help, the Bee Gee's were blaring so loud upstairs I was afraid it would wake up Adrian! So I quickly started making my way upstairs (which isn't very fast since I am 7 months pregnant!) About half way, I heard a new noise. The vibration of the radio was so strong it caused the CD to jump and start to skip! So now it was stuck on this horribly loud noise that was on repeat! I quickly ran up to her room and swung open the door to stop it.
There Mia was, near her radio! She looked at me with this look of terror in her eyes, ran full blast to me saying "Oh-no!!! Oh-no!!! Broke it!" while pointing at her radio. I quickly went over and turned it off. Mia was still shook up and I had to literally cuddle her for awhile, as her tiny heart raced and she kept repeating "radio broke it! oh-no". I calmed her down, trying my hardest not to laugh and telling her not to touch her radio anymore.
Sigh my little Mia, shes always doing something unexpected... I wonder what tomorrow will bring???
