Current mood: amused
Mia went on an adventure with her Grandpa Pizano yesterday. On his final full day with her, he took her out to John's Incredible Pizza Co.!!! We had not taken her there in so long and have been meaning too since he loved it so much, so Grandpa decided it was time she went!
Adrian, Alex and I stayed home. Unfortunately, Alex is just a wee bit to small to have fun with his sister like that but its ok he slept most of the day haha. So when Mia woke up from her nap, she got a small snack and off they went just the two of them.
At first I wasn't sure how she would act, she is the mist of her terrible 2's and even with the incentive of "going outside" she still threw a few HUGE tantrums at home, I prayed for my Dad's sake, she would be on good behavior while there... and to my relief she was! YAY!
When they got home, which was well past 9pm, (so you know they had fun) she walked in with the biggest smile on her fact and holding two big balloons! It was the cutest sight ever! I couldn't wait to hear all the stories, so here is just a few. I hope I remember them all since I am on very little sleep and my brain isn't quite working right yet haha
My Dad said once they got there they ate. Mia ate her very first soft icecream cone and LOVED IT! She also went rice crazy and ate TWO servings of rice! This is pretty big since she is such a picky eater. My Dad said she received so many compliments from workers and other people who saw her. Everyone thought she was so cute!!!!
They then walked around and found the roller coaster train Mia loves! No one was on the train but them so the operator said they could ride it over and over for free!! YAY! So Mia and Grandpa zoomed around the track.. over... and over... and over... then over.. and over... and over some more! After the 15th time (literally, no joke!) my Dad was ready to flag down the guy to stop because it was a bit to much! He felt his head spinning and felt like he was about to fly out! (Ya it goes pretty fast) finally it stopped and what did Mia do!? She got mad and was on the verge of another tantrum she wanted "more!!" Luckily Grandpa was able to convince her that it was "broken" and they left without a blow up.
They played a few games and even went bowling! Mia has never bowled before but she quickly got the hang of it. She would throw the ball down and even knocked down a few pins on her own!!! They also played skeetball and when Mia couldn't throw the balls up the ramp she did the next best thing.. she climbed up on the machine and actually walked up to the other side and put the balls directly in the slots! HAHA! She kicked a few balls too because when she came home she couldn't stop talking about kicking the balls haha
She rode a few more tiny rides before it was time to go home. On their way out my Dad found the kiddy zone playground! He couldn't pass it up and let Mia go nuts in that area and boy did she go NUTS!!! She was screaming and singing her "ticka-da" song at the top of her lungs, made friends with all the other little kids and had a blast! She had more fun in that area than any other place. She slide down the slide and ran around like crazy, but always made sure she would run back to Grandpa to give him a big hug and say "Grandpa!!" How precious is that!
Eventually it was time to go home. I forgot to ask how my Dad got her out of that play zone without incident but Grandpa always has the touch, I am sure he had no trouble unlike myself or Dada! haha
Again she came home so happy and couldn't wait to share stories about kicking the ball, the horsey, or train! I am glad my Dad and Mia had some bonding time, it always makes me so happy.
