My Dad is in town for a few days to help out with Mia and Alex while we get adjusted to having Alex in the house. This is a HUGE treat for Mia because she ADORES her Grandpa and any time spend with him is pure fun!
Yesterday, the weather was VERY nice... a little on the warm side, but it was one of the last warm days before Fall really sets in. So my Dad decided to take Mia to the park to have some fun. They both went to the park down the road a bit, the one with the two jungle gyms and swings. Mia went NUTS and had so much fun!
She swung on the swings for over an hour while her Grandpa pushed her. When she started to get a bit red from the sun, Grandpa took her over to the water fountain to splash some cool water on her and to give her a drink. She had so much fun playing with the water and more fun putting her tongue on the stream of water! She soon laid claim to the fountain and didn't want ANYONE to drink from it. She even got mad when a little boy wanted to take a drink, but Grandpa showed her it was ok to share.
After the swings she took off and had lots of fun with all the other kids at the park. She ran after them, played with them, and even saw her old friend "Sophie" from the last time she was at the park. She slid down the slides and even showed off to Grandpa that she could slide down the HUGE big kid slide they have there! The only ouchie she got was the time Grandpa surprised her in the tunnel and she bumped her head! haha She didn't get hurt though.
After the jungle gym, Grandpa put her in this little tea cup type ride they had there and spun her around and around until she got dizzy!
Soon it was time to go and off to Wendy's (which is next door to the park) they went. Both had a fun time laughing and eating! Mia even had her very first frosty! but she didn't like it much!
I loved hearing all the cute stories they had when they came home. Mia came home exhausted which is always a good sign of her having tons of fun!
