We just got back from our final family outing as just the three of us. Today... well actually tomorrow is the official day, marks the 2nd year "birthday" of Cityhood of our city Menifee. (Two years ago, Sun City was claimed by the growing city of Menifee)
Anyways, I heard that they were having a celebration party at a nearby park, with a kids zone, vendors, food and music! COOL! The park isn't very far from where we live, infact it was the same park we went to to see fireworks for the 4th of July. So I talked to Adrian about it and he thought it was a good idea too... as long as the weather held up. (Its been thunder storming and flash floods on and off the past couple of days, not to mention an INSANE amount of humidity)
We took care of some errands before we went to the park and once our shopping was done we headed on over. By the time we made it to the park, it was already dark but the weather was very nice... not to hot not to cold. Unfortunately, Baby Alex decided to give me one of those famous HORRIBLE stomach cramps so walking to the event wasn't easy. Luckily once we got there, he decided to move the the pain eventually went away.
The event was HUGE! Alot bigger than I expected it to be. People were everywhere and there was so much to eat and do! We walked around a bit, picking out what foods we wanted to try. As we walked around I saw the strangest sight I have ever seen! A guy was walking his dog AND cat! on a leash! Thats right! There was a cat there on a leash and he was very friendly! Mia even got to pet him!
While we were walking around we came upon a booth that was selling glow bracelets and necklaces. Of course Dada wanted to get Mia one so he bought her a cute little red one. Unfortunately, it turned out to be defective and didn't light up very bright. The line was so long we decided to eat first then exchange it.
As we went to the food area, Mia wanted to be put down. As soon as we put her down she started dancing like crazy! She could hear the live music coming from the band stand. She LOVES live music! and she was literally dancing up a storm! she didn't care where she was or who was watching, she was just getting down with her cute self! haha Eventually we bought some food and went by the music stand.
Adrian left us to get some more food that was clear across the park, I was craving a hot dog BAD! haha So Mia and I sat on the hay make-shift benches and listened to music. It didn't take long before Mia was rocking out again and dancing up a storm!!! She LOVED the music and when it stopped she literally demanded "More? More?!" Pretty soon more kids showed up and all of them were dancing, and Mia was right there in the middle of it having a great time! The only time she got upset was when she stepped in mud and got her foot dirty (she was wearing sandals haha). I fed her some food and she was very happy.
Eventually Dada came back with more food and he got to watch her dance too. After we ate, the music stopped and they started to do a hypnotist show. That was pretty boring and it was getting late so we decided to leave. We went back to the glow booth and told them about the defective bracelet so they took it back and gave Mia a large necklace! A big upgrade!!! She was so happy with it and was running around with her rainbow glow in the dark necklace.
We then made the long trek back to the car and off to home we went. We had lots of fun, I am glad we were able to get out and enjoy ourselves one last time as the three of us!
