Today was another exciting day for little Miss Mia. Today was her Cousin Brianna's 5th Birthday party in San Diego. Unfortunately, I am so near the end of my pregnancy (1 week left, exactly!) that I didn't want to venture to far from home. There is still some prep work that needs to be done around the house so I decided to sit this one out, as much as I wanted to go. So Dada took Mia with him and headed off on their adventure together.
They were gone most of the day and although I was pretty ambitious on what I wanted to accomplish today I only got half of it done. I am just to tired and drained to keep pushing, plus little Alex keeps making my tummy hurt.
So Dada and Mia got home around 7pm. As soon as Mia walked in the door she was so excited and happy and wanted to tell me what she did. She told me about "pow pow" (the pinata) and showed me a HUGE pink bag filled with candy she got!!! She even showed me some decorations she took home with her (3 big streamer balls). She was so excited and started playing with her candy by throwing it all over the floor so she could put it in her bag again.
Adrian told me she did really well, although she REFUSED to eat anything there! How odd, she usually eats at least something. But nope shes officially a toddler all she wanted to do was eat chips and cupcakes! haha He told me she played on the swings most of the time (the party was held at the same park her 1st birthday was held at) until it was Pinata time, then she wanted off so she could hit it. She actually did good too! Not only did she hit it all by herself (yes, she still does that chopping motion rather than swinging the stick) but she gave up the stick willingly to the next kid in line! WOW! That is a first! I am so proud of her! She got a couple of turns on the pinata and came home with loads of candy!!
The rest of the party went well and she had lots of fun. She did sleep a bit on the ride home which was good because they did end up hitting some traffic. Now shes in bed, although not a asleep yet... shes with Dada... this is the last night he will be putting her to bed before the baby gets here so hes enjoying her a bit extra tonight.
I really wish I could have gone to the party but I am glad Mia still got to go and had lots of fun. I am off to get some more rest, these braxton hicks are kicking up again.. ugh!
