Time alone with Mia at the park

Current mood: amused

Since Alex has been born I know my "outting" time has been put on hiatus for awhile... at least a couple of months. So when Adrian asked if I would like to join him and Mia at the park while my parents (who are visiting right now) watched Alex I decided to go. Mainly for the simple fact we get to give Mia some Mama/Dada/Mia alone time (to help her adjust) AND I have no idea when I will be out of the house again! haha

We after we got Alex all set up we headed off to the park down the road off McCall, the one with the swings and jungle gyms. Mia was so happy to get out, especially with her Mama AND Dada.

Once we got to the park she headed right to the playground. The very first thing she did was get on the BIG KIDS jungle gym and slide down the BIGGEST slide in the whole park!!! It scared me at first but she went down like a pro! I couldn't believe it! Of course my heart was racing, but she loved it! Then she got on the swings and made her Dada push her the rest of the time.

It took some convincing to get her off of the swings, even Dada had to swing with her at one point, but eventually she got off and went right back to the big kids jungle gym. She went down the slide again! (scared me!) and made friends with a little girl named Sophie, who wasn't much bigger than her, and they played together on the jungle gym.

We wanted to stay a bit longer, however, Mia had another disaster... she peed her pants! OH NO!!!! So fun time was cut short and we had to leave. She said bye to her new friend and her friend cried and cried because Mia left.

We walked her to the car and Dada changed her diaper in the trunk! Something we hadn't done since she was TINY! It was actually pretty cute. Then we headed off to home and shared our stories with Grandpa and Grandma. Alex slept the ENTIRE time and I think he knew I was home again because as soon as I started talking he started crying and wanted dinner!! Hahah A mothers job is never done! haha I LOVE IT!
