Today was such a fun day for Mia and her Grandpa. I needed some rest really bad so my Dad decided to take Mia out on an adventure, just the two of them.
First they hit the post office and she got to watch her Grandpa mail out her baby brother baby announcements, but the real fun came afterward.
Mac Donald's is just right around the corner from the post office so they went there for another adventure. After eating some chicken nuggets, fries and drinking some apple juice Mia was ready for some serious FUN! So her Grandpa took her outside to their outdoor playground. You know the kind where they have tube slides and things.
Mia was in heaven! She had so much fun running around the playground, climbing in and out of the tubes, sliding down the slide and running around with the kids and screaming. Like always, she made TONS of new friends. Even some of the older kids volunteered to watch and help her when she needed it. Everyone fell in love with her.

She had so much fun but had two little accidents. The first one was when she got on the biggest spiral slide, as she went down she started to tumble and almost fell out. Oh No!!!! She started crying and everyone came to her rescue including her Grandpa. He quickly picked her up and consoled her and once she was good to go again, she was back up on the slide and went down like a pro! She never got intimidated by the fall and went on the slide again and again. Grandpa was so proud of her and I was proud to hear the story.
The second accident went unseen. During all the chaos of little kids playing, Grandpa heard the familiar sound of Mia crying. He went over to the tube where she was and found her laying flat on her back with a mean look on her face. He asked the kids around her what happened and no one could explain what happened. She soon snapped out of it though and was off playing again.
She had so much fun with the kids, she copied them, chased them, ran from them and played and played. At one point she was bouncing around in the tunnel tubes and hit her head! OUCH! She didn't care though and kept right on playing. No amount of pain will stop her from having fun.
Soon it was time to go and though she first told Grandpa "NO!" when he told her it was time to go, she eventually gave in with the incentive of some Apple Juice! haha When she came home she was all pooped out on Grandpa's shoulder and was so sleepy and happy.
What adventures Grandpa and Granddaughter have... it reminds me so much of when I was little.... I am so glad and happy to see them spend so much quality time together
