Current mood: hopeful
Living in Riverside is not very "kid" friendly, or at least 2 year old Mia friendly. The weather out here is way to extreme. Either its too HOT (100 or more) or too COLD! There is rarely any time where it is decent. So that means, taking Mia out, especially to the park, is very difficult and most of the time we get stuck inside due to bad weather. It stinks especially when keeping Mia indoors too long is always a recipe for disaster and chaos. It is getting worse the older she is getting and we are constantly trying to find ways to help her.
Well yesterday we finally got something that hopefully helps keep Mia from bouncing off the walls... or at least the furniture for awhile.
Adrian and Mia had gone to San Marcos to go to Frys Electronics for some computer parts. On the way there they decided to stop off at a garage sale they saw on Craig's list. Originally, Adrian, was only going there to buy a couple of really cheap computer cases but he ended up coming home with more... MUCH more!
Mia is now the proud owner of her very own plastic slide AND kitchen set! The owner of the slide sold it to Adrian for half her cost ($25) and threw in a tiny little kitchen set as well! Mia was in heaven and couldn't wait for Daddy to put it together once they got home. She literally drug the pieces to him so he could assemble it.
Once he got the slide all set up she wasted no time and started sliding down it over... and over..... and over! Each time saying "weeeee" and when she landed she could clap and go "YAY!" then climb up again and do it again. She LOVES it, and so do we since now she has something fun to do while being stuck in the house. She even wanted me and the cat to join her! haha
She loves her little kitchen set as well. She was even pretending to cook "Eggies" and serving them to me. It was so cute to watch her use her imagination and I was really impressed by it.
Well I am glad she has some new toys to play with. It always brings us so much joy to watch her have fun and really enjoy something. Well I hear her in her room so its time to start the day, I hope she still likes her slide when I get her downstairs... Mia tends to change her mind alot haha
