Current mood: happy
Mia had another visitor this week, her Grandma Rebecca!!! She came down for a few days to help around the house and to spend some special time with Mia and Alex. It was great having here at the house and Mia had a blast! She loves her Grandma so much.
The first day she was here she took Mia to the park to spend some fun time together. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a heat wave right now so fun at the park was cut short. Awww.... but Mia got to show off to her Grandma what a pro she is getting up and down the jungle gym by herself and sliding down the slide. However, soon it got too hot and it was time to go but Mia didn't want to. Grandma worked her magic though and gave Mia a piggy back ride half way home then they "raced" home afterwards. Mia loved running home and she didn't throw a fit! YAY! The rest of the day and for most of the visit, was spent cuddling with Grandma on the couch. She even fell asleep on Grandma one night! I was shocked by this because she never even sleeps on us!
We all went out to eat too and Mia shocked us again by eating her pizza! She NEVER eats Red Robin pizza but since her Grandma was there she decided to be a good girl and ate all her pizza! Adrian and I were both shocked! haha
Another cute thing I thought was cute was when Grandma was watching her novela at night, Mia cuddled up on the couch and watched it too. She didn't even care that it was all in spanish she still watched it and actually seemed interested haha Such a girly girl she can be at times.
The other cute thing that I just HAVE to mention is the fact that when Grandma was cleaning up around our kitchen she recruited Mia's help and she actually helped! I walked into the room to find Mia with a little rag and was wiping down the cabinets! I wish I had my camera handy because it was the cutest thing I ever seen. Later she said "Help Grandma" and was sweeping the floor... well more like pushing things around the floor but it was still cute. She helped Grandma and even got to play with "bubbles" while Grandma washed dishes. It was cool seeing them together, and it gave me some time to rest and take care of Alex a bit.
Yesterday, her, Daddy and Grandma all went out to the store to shop for a bit. When they came home (I couldn't go with them since Alex is still too small) they all had lots of stories to share. Like how Mia made a little friend at this fast food place (another 2.5 year old named Andrea) and they danced, twirled, and chased each other all over the place. When it was time to go both girls didn't want to leave... awww too cute!
Overall the visit was lots of fun. Mia had lots of great bonding time with Grandma, which she needed since we live so far apart its hard to see and visit each other much. She was sad to see her leave but we all can't wait for her next visit. Next time I will definately take pictures!
