Current Mood: Tired
Happy Friday Everyone! WOW What a HUGE week! I was reviewing the blogs for the week and they kept going and going. I didn't realize how much went on this week, no wonder it flew by so fast.
One of the cutest things that happened this week is that Mia has formed a bond with her little baby doll. She carries this little doll around, pushes it in Alex's baby swing, puts it to bed in Alex's napper, lays it down to sleep next to Alex when hes sleeping in his boppie, has myself and Adrian hold him, burpes him and yes even tries to nurse him! haha I think its really adorable that she wants to be a little Mama too!
Another HUGE thing that happened this week is her Grandpa Pizano stayed with us for a full week! YAY! That means TONS of fun time for Mia. She had a blast, as always and was spoiled to the MAX! Grandpa even took her to Mc Donald's (a place we have never taken her before) and got to play in their little playground. She had so much fun interacting with all the little kids, sliding down the big girl slide and running around. We have TONS of cute videos of her playing there. We might even consider taking her back real soon.
The visit from Grandpa was tons of fun. The three of us even went on a little walk around the neighborhood one evening. Mia loved holding her little flashlight and shinning it on things, especially the "kitties". She also got tons of quality time with Grandpa since Mama had to leave for different doctor visits this week. She got to watch all her favorite cartoons and have the run of the house! haha She even was given a pair of blue high heeled plastic shoes by her Grandpa and she was clinking all over the house in those.
Mia and Daddy also went to San Diego over the weekend to visit Mia's Grandma Rebecca. Daddy had to set up a computer for her so he took Mia along for the ride. She had lots of fun at Grandma's house, getting into things, breaking stuff and of course having fun. Grandma also got her a Snow White Princess Dress and she LOVES it! Whenever she wears it, she calls herself a princess and twirls around. While in San Diego they all went out to eat and she wore it and got TONS of compliments from the people there. What a little cutiepie. She loves that dress so much that I literally have to hide it from her because once shes in it she wears it ALL day and refuses to take it off! She even naps in it! So I have to treat the dress as a "treat" because getting it off it no easy task unless I have a HUGE incentive like going "byebye" or taking a bath! haha

Mia is becoming more and more bonded to her little brother Alex. She is always interested in seeing what he is doing and when he is out in the livingroom with us, she always has to be right next to him. She sticks to him like glue and is always so good around him. In turn, Alex loves his big sister too. For some reason, she must have the touch, he always settles down and cheers up when shes around. He will stop crying and focus on her and coo. Sometimes even get excited. I love seeing the two of them interact together.
A not so good thing also happened and is happening as we speak, Mia is sick. Nooooo! Ya, she has a touch of a head cold. Her nose won't stop running and shes sneezing alot. To my surprise though she hasn't really acted really sick... though I don't know how she will be this morning, she is still in bed. Hopefully, if we can keep her warm and rested she can kick this thing before it gets really bad, but I don't know the next few days are going to be COLD! two storms are rolling in. Adrian also caught whatever Mia has, his nose has been running alot and hes been sneezing too. As for me I can feel my body fighting something and I did have a sore throat yesterday but so far so good. I hope I can stay healthy because I really don't want to see Alex get sick too!
Mia also turned 28 months this week, where is the time going?!?! I mean seriously! She is growing up so fast. I really got a taste of it when we went to Kohls to shop for a Holiday outfit for her and I realized she has outgrown the baby/toddler section!!!! ACK!
Another HUGE plus this week is Mia's nap/betimes. They have improved DRAMATICALLY! although we had to bend the rules a bit. She no longer throws a fit and willingly goes up the stairs and into her room without a fight, however, the catch to it all is that someone has to stay with her until she falls asleep. So far Daddy and Grandpa have been able to do that, however, now that Mama is back in charge (since Grandpa is gone and Adrian is back to driving into work) I am not sure how long this will last. The first night I left her, she screamed and cried but the time frame was cut short. Last night was a different story. She was such a good girl that I just didn't have the heart to break her heart. So I made sure Alex was fed and sleeping and I took her to bed and stayed with her. It took her a LONG time to get comfy so I sped things along by rubbing her head. That relaxed her a TON and she drifted off to sleep a short time later. I doubt I will be able to do that every night but I will when I can if Alex permits it. I so want to get through this phase of her freaking out with every bed/nap time.

Well Alex is crying so I have to get going, plus Mia will be up any min. now. Off for more Mama duties, I can't wait to be able to do all of this with more rest.... HAHAHAHA yea right, like that will ever happen! haha Joys of Motherhood!
