A Fun Day with Daddy and Grandma in San Diego

Current Mood: Tired

Yesterday was a fun day for the little Mia Monster. Not only did she get to spend some fun time with Grandpa Pizano in the morning and early afternoon, but later in the day, she and Dada drove down to San Diego to visit Grandma Rebecca!

Adrian had built a new computer for his Mom so since he had to go to San Diego to drop it off and set it up, he decided to take Mia as well. This was a good and bad thing. Bad, that we would be without Mia all day but good thing that Mia was gone! Haha just kidding… good thing was it gave me some time to rest and since my Dad was still in town he got some bonding time with little Alex.

While they were gone I cooked up a STORM to make sure we had TONS of food to choose from in the house. I cooked fresh beans, rice, soup, pot roast and cake! WOW! Unfortunately, I didn’t get as much rest as I would have liked since Alex was a bit on the fussy side (I think he missed his big sister) but I did get some rest.

They didn’t get home again until WAY late.. (around 9:30pm) when Adrian walked in, he was holding Mia who was resting on his shoulder. She was all pooped out and we decided to put her to bed just as is… clothes, jacket and all. I would have liked to put jammies on her but you know how Mia is, all she needs is a 5min nap and shes good to go for another 5 hours! We couldn’t risk that she off to bed she went and it didn’t take long before she was fast asleep.

When Adrian came back downstairs, after putting Mia to bed he told us about the day. He said she had so much fun at Grandma’s house. She went nuts getting into everything and even destroying some decoration too! Grandma also bought her a little Snow White Princess Dress and Mia fell in love with it. Once she had it on, she couldn’t stop looking at herself in the mirror, calling herself a princess and looking at her costume.. puffy sleeves and all.

They also all went out to eat and Mia stayed in her costume. EVERYONE at the restaurant fell in love with her. She ate good too! She ate some bread and some turkey! That’s HUGE for Mia… little Miss picky eater.

She did real good though the whole time and I am so proud of her. When it was time to go and Adrian loaded her up in the car she insisted that Grandma get in the car too. “Grandma .. this!” she would say as she pointed to the front seat. Unfortunately, Grandma couldn’t go home with them but I am sure she will be back for a visit or Mia will be down for a visit.

Overall the day was great for everyone, though I do miss my little Mia Monster I know I will have lots of time with here again soon enough.
