and now its week 64!

Current mood: happy

Happy Friday and Happy Fall Everyone! My favorite time of the year, the temperatures are finally going down and its Pumpkin Season!!!! Speaking of pumpkins I should start on my weekly reflection about my own lil' pumpkin, Mia, before she wakes up.... which I think she already is so I better hurry!

Mia never ceases to keep us on our toes. Even when you think she is being good she is always devising a plan in her head to do something unexpected. This was very true earlier this week. I had let her run around downstairs for a bit. She was only out of my sight for a very short while, no more than a couple of mins. But thats all it took. About a half hour later Adrian came down to use the restroom and was greated by a foochie diaper floating in the toilet! I guess Mia understands the concept of putting "pee pees" in the toilet I just didn't think she would put a pee pee diaper in it! haha

We went shopping a couple of times this week as well. Once to Target where we bought her a little light up spinning pumpkin light that she LOVES and we take on trips with us to entertain her, and also a small fury Elmo doll. She LOVES her little Elmo and even at the store she wouldn't let him go, not even to pay for him!! haha We had to attempt to replace the broken one she broke, so far it seems to be working. The other shopping trip was to the mall. We finally got to almost complete her Tinkerbell Halloween costume by buying the light up wings!!! They look to adorable on her, though a tad bit on the big side. I will have to see how I will remedy that, nothing old close pins can take care of =) We let her run around in a couple of stores and this time it was Daddy who got to chase her. The more and more she is getting older and wilder the more she doesn't like to stay in her stroller and forget about trying to get her back in it after shes out. The taste of freedom is just to much for her.

She also got a taste of PopRocks for the first time... thanks to Daddy! To our surprised she actually really liked them. She wasn't afraid of them popping in her mouth infact she liked listening to it. She would keep her mouth open and it was the funniest thing to watch.

Mia, aka my little Blueberry monster let me know that she doesn't mind the frozen type. I was giving her fresh ones while they were in season but once they weren't I didn't bother resorting to the frozen kind. Blueberries are her favorite fruit of all time so one day I finally decided to try out the frozen kind, despite their obvious taste difference. Sure enough she loved them too! I am glad I bought them because now that I put them in her pancakes she is finally eating them again and not throwing them all over the floor! YAY! Score one for Blueberries!... however they are really messy. Messier than the fresh kind and Mia is always turning blue after eating them haha

I also had two different doctor's appointments this week. One regarding the miscarriage (at Wildomar) and one regarding my upcoming surgery (Riverside) both she did really well, and both were a day apart. Thank goodness Daddy was there to help and he watched her. The first one at Wildomar was alittle difficult but a learning experience. We forgot to bring her toys and soon all she wanted to do is get out of her stroller and run around. At one point she even slid underneath and fell on the floor!!! ( I told Daddy not to unbuckle her but he felt she would be more comfortable... plus we weren't moving and just sitting there in the waiting room). They didn't go in the actual doctor's visit and when I came out Mia was sitting nicely on one of the waiting room chairs looking through a booklete, looking all innocent while Daddy looked pooped out!! haha So for the next doctor's visit (Riverside Hospital) we were more prepared. We took her pumpkin light, her Elmo and armed with the Laptop with her Elmo show on it we were set. That visit went alot smoother and during the pre-op she just watched her Elmo Show like a good girl. I have another doctor's visit next Tuesday but I am going alone, I think Daddy needs a break haha

I was feeling kind of down, especially after the miscarriage follow up appointment so I decided to take Mia to the park once we got home. That was loads of fun and it really cheered me up watching her walk all over the place and explore. She is my little leaf collector and where ever there is a leaf to be found, she finds it and carries it with her everywhere. She seems to really enjoy that.

The only thing that has gotten me alittle concerned this week is Mia's sleeping pattern. She used to go down to sleep and sleep pretty much all night without any problems. She would only sometimes wake up crying and its usually because of her teething, however, now shes up off and all all night! She doesn't cry but she talks and plays in her crib for hours. So her sleep is sparatic. Adrian has been tending to her when she does this, and changes her diaper, cuddles her a bit then gives her milk and back in bed she goes. Not sure why the change, I am praying that she hasn't inherited my insomnia ways that I inherited from my Dad, though her sleeping pattern does resemble mine. Maybe its just to early to tell and shes just in one of those phases. The only bad thing is she is constantly tired during the day and moody because of her lack of rest. Hopefully we can find a remedy to that soon.

Overall the week has been great. Tomorrow we are supposed to head down to San Diego again for Adrian's cousin Carina's engagement party...we will see how that goes and if we do. Well thats about it and good timing too, I can hear Mia up and ready to go. I am off to do more Mama duties!
