Current mood: amused
Its almost been a whole week since my surgery but I am still in alot of discomfort and pain. I still can't lift things, especially Mia. My Dad went home yesterday afternoon but he will be back later this evening to help. So today was the first day Adrian and I were on our own with Mia, and having me unable to do anything. So despite having work later tonight, Adrian dove right in like a champ and helped with Mia from the time she woke up till now.. infact hes fixing her dinner as we speak.
I am not sure why my recovery is taking so long and why things aren't improving. Adrian and I talked about it last night and we think its because I need to rest more than I have. Though I can't do much with Mia I still stay up and help whatever I can. So today Adrian insisted I get rest today so he took care of Mia all day PLUS he took her out to run errunds with him solo.
So in the afternoon I went upstairs to take a nap while Adrian got Mia ready for their adventure. I fell asleep and when I woke up, the house was quiet. I have not heard that kind of quiet in so long. The house seemed unusually empty and it was kind of sad. I did get some much needed rest but I still couldn't wait for them to come home. There is nothing like the feel of having a full house filled with the two loves of my life, my husband and baby. So I waited for them and when they finally arrived 2.5 hours later I couldn't wait to hear all about their adventure. So here it is....
After I went to take my nap Adrian was waiting for Mia to digest her lunch before they left. When enough time passed by he got her up and was ready to go when he noticed something.... yes she had poopies!! OH NO!!! So he picked her up to carry her to the changing table and what did she do? She threw up her milk all over herself! OH NO! I guess she overdrank. So he changed her but didn't know that the cute shirt he picked out was actually her jammie top!!! haha Its ok it, it actually matched really well with her pink skirt.
After she was all tided up and ready to go they took off on their adventure. First up... the post office. She did good there, he just carried her in and mailed what he needed too and went back out. Up next... Bestbuy. He first had her in the basket but it didn't take long before she insisted on being let down so she can run around. When Adrian asked the sales man to look for something for him he let Mia loose and she booked it!!! She ran all over the isles and was screaming and playing at the top of her lungs. He said her voice could be heard all over the store and was hands down the loudest person in the store. She was having a blast. They then went to the TV department and Mia wanted to touch every single item and TV there. After putting tons of fingerprints all over the place Adrian decided it was time to go, he picked her up and they went to the check out line. Right away the cashier commented on how cute Mia looked and of course she just stared at her. After paying for their stuff the cashier handed Mia the bag to hold, of course Mia quickly pulled her hand away and didn't want to touch it. Eventually she got brave and started picking at it but she refused to hold it. So Adrian took it and off to their next destination....WinCo.
Once they got to the store Mia was sitting in the basket and having fun... but that didn't last. Towards the end of the trip she began to get alittle fussy. He found a cute rubbery centipede toy but right away she tried to eat it so he took it away and of course she blew up. Next he bribed her with an octopus toy that had raddles on the ends of its feet. She liked this and it entertained her a bit until she started to stretch its leg and tried to bite it so again Daddy had to take it away and again she blew up. Finally she was content with the soda bottle Daddy handed her until she peeled a piece off.. and Daddy had to take it away.. WAAAHH!!! She went.... eventually she calmed down. They shopped around a bit more and things seemed ok. Then Daddy was drawn to the magazine isle where he saw a new gamer magazine. Thats when for a moment his attention was taken away from Mia and he was reading... Mia on the other hand wanted to put a stop to it so what did she do but she quickly grabbed the magazine and soon Daddy and Mia were fighting back and forth with the magazine, and Daddy tried to get it from her without ripping it but it was too late paper was flying and so was Mia's arms and she was screaming and crying. After that incident it was time to go home. So they made their way to the checkout counter. Again the cashier commented how cute she was, then Mia waved hello and they went to the end to bag their stuff. Thats when Mia just got rowdy she started screaming (in fun) and hitting the basket bar. Everyone started turning around to look at her but she didn't care she just got louder. Then a older man came up to her to say hi and of course she stopped right away and stared at him. She didn't stop staring until he left but she did wave shyly to him. Then it was off to home they went where they greated me at the door.
Phew what an adventure... so cute!!! I wish I could have seen it but I love hearing the story about Daddy and his little girl.
