Mood: Happy
Happy Friday Everyone! Another week has gone by and more stories to add. I am not sure how much or long I can write since I am still recovering from my surgery and my arms are extremely sore and painful but we will see what I can do.
The week started off with another adventure to Oxnard. It was my cousin Gina's wedding so we all got dressed up and hit the road. She did pretty good until about Pasadena when she let us know she needed time to stretch her little legs and to get some non-AC air. So we stopped off, let her run around a bit, munch on a fig newton then she was good to go the rest of the way. We barely made it on time to the early afternoon wedding so I had to hurry up and finish up the final touches on Mia'a attire in the parking lot. Once that was done we got to meet up with family. It was great seeing the Pizano family again and everyone melted at the site of her looking all cute in her dress with little bows in her hair. She did really good during the ceremony thanks to Daddy the entertainer haha. Afterwards we hung out a bit then we shopping and then her Grandpa and Grandma's house. We needed to kill some time till the reception so we visited there for a while. She got to see her Great Grandpa and Great Uncle Fred and visit with them too. She even snuck her very first drink of soda!!!! and boy I think she likes it! She was chugging it as fast as she could before Grandpa ran over and took it away from her haha. She was being her normal perky self and soon it was off to the reception for some more fun. She like to clap when the people clapped and ate some food. Her favorite thing of all was to run up and down the hallway outside the reception room. She went NUTS! screaming and laughing, it was the cutest thing ever. Soon it was time to go home and we loaded up the car and off to home we went. She fell asleep in the parking lot and didn't wake up until about 40 mins from home in Norco. She wasn't happy and let us know to pull off so we did at a Jack in the Box. I changed her diaper, Daddy ordered her a grilled cheese and after she got a full tummy she was ready to go the rest of the way. Once we got home I put her in bed and thought the rest of the night would be a breeze. WRONG! Poor baby had a horrible night and ended up sleeping with Daddy in the guestroom for the first time. For some reason she didn't want to be left alone and would scream and cry whenever we left her. But she is much better now.
Later in the week Mia got really have fun at the Pumpkin Patch. We went to the same place we go every year since we moved out here, so its a nice tradition to keep alive while we can. We took her last year when she was alittle over 3 months old, but this time she really got to run around and have fun. Her favorite thing to do most of all, was to toss and throw pumpkins. She would pick up the ones she could hold and throw them. She liked to watch them roll around and I think maybe she thought they were balls. She threw all the ones we handed to her and it didn't take long before she broke one. The stem broke right off as it was rolling. Sigh ... little destructive Mia! haha
Then the next day we went to the Southern California Fair, in Perris. Perris is just a couple of exits up the freeway from our house. We went alittle later in the day so it was getting kind of cold, so we bundled Mia up like a little eskimo! haha She started to get a little runny nose so that concerned me so I bundled her up even more! Unlike the San Diego Fair, she actually liked the little barn animals. She love to pet them and every time she did she would laugh. We got to see the doggy show and she even came home with a new toy. A little butterfly push toy (which she already broke! haha) Overall the fair was lots of fun, maybe we will go back???
The next day I had to have my surgery. Nothing serious just removing some abnormal breast tissue. My Dad came down to help babysit and watch Mia so she is being the special little princess. She is getting the royal treatment while Mama is recovering. He took her to the park one day, they collected leaves and had fun. He even bought her a Elmo's World tent! The funniest thing was to watch him try to encourage her to go inside... she eventually did but of course because she was bring bribed with her most favorite thing in the world.. MILK! haha The past week as been tons of fun for Mia and Grandpa and even Daddy, but not so fun with me. I am still in lots of pain and discomfort but the worst thing of all is not being able to pick up or hold my little one! Its pure torture, especially when she comes to me and wants to me to pick her up and I can't. Sigh... I can't wait till I get better but it still won't be for another week or so, not sure if I can last! I need my Butterfly Princess!!! Anyways, the visit has sure put Grandpa through the ringer a bit. He is learning how she wants to have her food and how exactly how to make it, any deviation then she won't eat it haha and how annoying Elmo can become after watching the 10th episode in a row!, how just because she has 1 poopie of the day doesn't mean there won't be about 2-3 more waiting for later! haha All in all its been a fun and interesting visit.
I have to cute this alittle short because the arm pain is getting worse and I really need to rest. Hopefully I will be able to write again soon.
