Current mood: loved
Today was another day of recovering and resting for Mama. My recovery is unfortunately going along slower than I thought it would but with the help from my Dad and Adrian they are keeping me as comfortable as possible.
Mia has been having a blast with her Grandpa. He got her all dressed up and looking all cute in her watermelon outfit. They were ready to go to the park but it only took about 2 mins outside before the sun roasted them and they ran back inside for shade haha. So they had fun inside instead. Playing with leggos, her Elmo tent and cuddling.
I have been resting most of the day. The pain has been getting pretty bad so I have reluctantly been taking my vicadon, unfortunately when I take that medicine I knock right out for a couple of hours and am pretty foggy headed most of the day till it wears off and the pain comes back. Adrian and my Dad insisted I needed some fresh air and to get out of the house for awhile since my morale was pretty low. So after much convincing we finally packed up the car and all went to Target. I bought some more supportive tank tops and other things to help make me more comfortable. As I was shopping around in the womens section, Mia, her Grandpa and Daddy were in the toys section. All of a sudden I heard a HUGE cry and my Mama radar spiked! I knew it was Mia so I quickly stopped what I was doing, walked clear across the store and found them. Turns out she was ok, no she didn't fall out of the basket (though her cry sounded like she did), she just got mad when Daddy took her candy away. (Yes she must have gotten ahold of candy!!!! Sigh!!) haha When I knew she was ok I went back to shopping.
After we were done I started feeling more pain so we went home. I still can't pick her up or hold her so giving her a much needed bath was totally out of the question. So it was Daddy to the rescue. It was only going to be the second time he ever gave her a bath and his first solo flight since I wasn't going to help him out. I helped set him up, gave him a few tips and left them alone. She did great in the bath he said. She didn't even cry when he washed her hair! WOW! He later took her out and went to dry her off and put on her jammines in the room. I figured everything went well till I heard her blow up so I went upstairs to check on them. He was putting on her lotion and getting ready to put on her diaper and jammies when I walked in. She was mad for some reason and as soon as she saw me she said "MAMA!!!!!" haha I sat on the bed and talked to her and she calmed down. Soon she as all set and all clean. YAY! Daddy did a great job I am so proud of him.
Now my clean baby is being fed her dinner by her Grandpa and I am resting in my new comfy clothes. FINALLY we found a good combo between a tank top and bra that don't rub and irritate my incision areas. AAAAHHH..... RELIEF!!!!!
I am off to rest a bit more, I just had to share those cute stories.
