Mia is 68 weeks old

Current mood: tired

We are rounding the corner to 70!!! I know before I know it I will be saying Mia is 100 weeks old! haha Well Happy Friday everyone! Phew what a fun filled, interesting, exciting week this one was. I think I have blogged almost everyday since new things seem to keep happening left and right. I will try to summarize most of them without making this blog entry to long..... pffffffffff.... ya right, you know me I always write alot haha

Well it started off with Grandpa needing to head back to Oxnard for a few days. That was very sad but we knew he would be back to help out a couple of days later. The house just didn't seem the same anymore and Mia was getting antsy so we decided to go out and run some errunds, just the three of us. We still had to take it a bit slow due to my recovery but it was nice to get out again since it was the first time since I had surgery that we went out as a family. So we went all over town, getting the finishing touches on her Halloween costume, eating at Pat and Oscars and going to Target. The adventure was fun, but the best part was definatly the fabric store, Micheals. There we tried on all kinds of silly hats on Mia and at one point Daddy even gave her a foam sword and axe to hit him with. He had a foam sheild. It was the cutest funniest thing ever. I will have to download the video for sure!! Overall the trips were fun and I was in very little pain.

Mia also said her first bad word this week, thanks to Daddy. She repeated what he said and said "Crap". She hasn't said it since and unlike other words she says, we did not encourage her to say it again haha. It really made us realize we are now in the phase where you really need to watch what you say around here... wow I didn't think it would come so soon!

A HUGE event happened this week too, it was the first Daddy/daughter trip to San Diego without MAMA!!! Wow!!! I am still healing and still can't pick up Mia so leaving her alone with me can't be done...yet. Adrian had signed up for this MicroSoft conference months ago and actually got a spot. We both didn't anticipate me still recovering from my surgery, and with my Dad still in Oxnard at the time, Adrian had no choice but to take Mia along. He didn't mind though, he loves taking Mia to places. So we got up early and I packed up her diaper bag and lunch pail and off they went. The conference went well only Adrian never got to sit through a presentation in its entirety. Mia always wanted to run around and explore! and boy did she. She was everywhere! The conference was held at a Movie Theater so Mia spent most of the time running in and out of the different movies, she tried numerous time to sneak into the womens bathroom and just went nuts outside picking up plants and tearing apart spider webs. She really had Dada on the run! There are TONS of little stories and adventures that happened but its best if you read through that blog. If I summarized every little detail this blog would be HUGE! haha Overall the adventure went great, no mishaps and both Mia and Daddy had a GREAT time. Me on the other hand, though I got to stay home alone for the first time all day since she was born, I was sad. I missed them so much but it was nice to have some time to just be a bum! I played on the computer most of the day and just loafed around... a mothers dream! haha But I was so happy when they came back home.

Mia also grew a new tooth! Which brings the grand total to 11!!! Its on the bottom row (yay finally!) and its the left one next to her two middle bottom teeth! She must have decided to grow it because of all the Apples she shares with Grandpa haha

Well with Halloween fast approaching (actually tomorrow!!!) I thought it would be cute to have her Grandpa see her all dressed up in her Tinkerbell costume. BAD IDEA!!!! Just getting the dress on was a fiasco not to mention that Mia was in a bad mood that day... really bad! so it made things even more difficult but amusing. We nearly had to tackle Mia just to get her from squirming so much so we could get her dress on. I had to literally chase her around the living room so I could get her wings and crown on. It was a complete disaster! She bent and broke her homemade wand I made her and was trying to tear apart her homemade shoes!!! Needless to say she didn't stay in her costume very long but at least we got a couple of cute picture of her. I hope she does better tomorrow!!

I have been dying to hold her since my surgery but I have been to restricted and can't, however I finally got to hold her in my lap this week. I still can't pick her up and carry her around but I did manage to get her to sit on my lap. We watched Elmo together and I was in heaven I miss holding my little girl. I can't wait to get better so I can hold her again and easier!

Mia got her clay pumpkin made this week. The tradition continues. Every year I make it a point to make her a clay pumpkin just for her. I hope that one day she will be big enough to make it herself but until then I make them for her. It actually came out pretty cute and I am proud of it. Last year her pumpkin had a binky because she loved binkies at the time, this year it had a bow in its hair well stem. I try to make them represent Mia in some way.

Now that I am slowly getting back on my feet, I decided to spoil my Dad a bit in thanks for all he has done for us. So I cooked up a storm for him. I made chilachilas and drunken noodle. He was in heaven with both and to my surprise Mia actually like the drunken noodle noodles! She kept going into the kitchen for more.

We also had a fun time in her room that same day that I cooked for my Dad. After one of her naps we all joined her in her room for some rowdy fun! She ran all over the place and Grandpa chased her around. We played with toys. At one point her Grandpa and I pretended to fight over Mia's blankey and she got MAD!!! and almost started crying! We know now never to mess with her blankey or else! haha Later she even gave her Grandpa a kiss on top of his head, without even being asked to do so! Awwww... she loves her "Aaaam-pa".

Her new favorite word is "Ow" she says ow to everything! but only if shes made or frustrated. For example, if you hand her a toy when shes mad she will throw it down and go "OW". Or if she wants to show you she means business she will hit something and go "OW" Its really very funny and cute, but scary too since you know shes mad about something and you don't know what she will do next! haha

She had another fun day at the park yesterday with her Grandpa and myself and later Daddy. She did what she always does, chase leaves (it was windy) and pick them up. She was everywhere and really enjoyed being out. When the adventure was over, she was treated to another popsical from the icecream man, thanks to Grandpa. Actually we all got treated and all had popsicals and ate them at the kitchen table, it was fun, especially for Mia who had it all over her face!!!

Mia also has a new favorite song and up until recently I learned she only likes it when I sing it to her. Its "Row your boat" everytime and I mean everytime (doesn't matter if shes happy, sad, or mad) she will start to dance back and forth to it. Sometimes when I stop singing she gets mad so I have to keep going. I don't know what it is about that song or why she only likes it when I sing it but its cute. Daddy tried to sing it to her and she just made a weird face and walked away haha!

Well thats about it for the week. I pretty much covered it all, and just like predicted this blog is HUGE! Ah well haha. Its alittle sad today because my Dad is going back home to Oxnard and won't be back anytime soon. I am finally healed enough to where I think I can finally solo Mia... I hope. So soon he will be heading back, right now hes in Mia's room rocking her to sleep for her nap. I know she will miss him so much, she loves her "Aaaam...pa" Hopefully he will be back for another visit very soon and I will be feeling much better.

Well tomorrow is going to be another big day! Its HALLOWEEN!!!! MWAHAHAHHAHA!!! I can't wait I am sure I will have many more stories to share! Till then BOO!! I mean bye!
