Current mood: adventurous
Another fun filled day... well more like afternoon we had. We went to the Southern California Fair. We didn't even know it existed until we saw a sign off the freeway one day. It is being held in Perris (only about 10-15mins from our house) so we thought, Hey why not check it out.
So we packed up the diaper bag, got the stroller all set, and dressed Mia in some warm clothes (it looks like rain out and very cold) and off to the fair we went. We have gone to a few fairs in our time, Ventura County, San Diego County etc so we were surprised to see how small it was, however, it had TONS of stuff to see and of course GREAT bad fair food haha.
After checking out some booths we came across this little toy stand and right away a toy caught my eye. It was a little toddler push toy that was shaped like a butterfly and it flapped its wings when you pushed it. I knew Mia would love it so Daddy took her out of her stroller to give her a test drive with the toy. Mia lite right up when she saw it and right away started pushing it around. We wanted her to choose the color she wanted and right away she went for them all. She tried to grab as many as she could hold and wouldn't put any back. Eventually she took off with the purple one so we bought it.
Since she was already out of the stroller we decided to have alittle fun with her. There were too little wooden cut out things where you put your head in and take a picture. One was a tomato and the other one an icecream cone. Daddy held her and tried to put her head through it so I could take some pictures but Mia wanted no part of it and just pushed it away. We did manage to get a couple of cute tomato pictures but the icecream one was a bust.. .ah well haha
After that it really started getting cold and Mia's nose started to run. She has never had a runny nose before so I began to get worried that she might be getting sick. So we bundled her up a bit more and it eventually stopped. We then went to the barn animal section and unlike the San Diego Fair, she LOVED the animals this time. She even pet the sheep and laughed everytime she did. It was the cutest thing. She loved all the sheep and goats but could care less about the pigs and cows.
We then let her run around a bit. Daddy got some chili fries so I watched her as he ate. She ran EVERYWHERE! and wouldn't let go of that push butterfly toy. She ran back and forth and everyone who saw her started to smile. She went nuts and had an great time.
It then started to get really cold so it was time to start heading back. Of course not before we stocked up on some food to take home, like my polish hotdog, corn, and pickle haha Adrian bought a cinnimon roll and shared some with both Mia and I. We walked around a bit more and then it was off to home we went.
It was so much fun and I have alot of cute pictures I will have to load soon. Right now I need to do a few more things before bed and get ready for my big day tomorrow, I am having surgery... yuck! My Dad just got here too (he came down to help babysit Mia) and I would like to visit with him too. So see you later, hopefully I will be able to write again soon.
