Another interesting day with Grandpa

Current mood: tired

I have been feeling much better with each passing day. So today I thought I would treat my Dad to my famous Mexican Chilachilas and Thai Drunken Noodle!!! Haha ya I know to completely opposite types of dishes.

So as I cooked most of the morning, Grandpa watched Mia and helped me too. There are still some restrictions I have, especially concerning weight what I can and cannot pick up. Anyways the food came out excellent and I was very happy about that. Thats when Mia tasted her first taste of Drunken Noodle herself and to Adrian and my surprise she LOVED the noodles! They are very spicy, not the hot kind of spicy but the flavorful type. I use alot of seasonings and basil. She liked it though and kept coming back to the kitchen for more.

The funniest part of the day definately happened in her room after her nap. I was the first one to notice she was awake in her crib so I chatted with her a bit. Grandpa heard us over the baby monitor downstairs so he soon joined us too. He cuddled her on the rocking chair for a bit before she wanted to get down and have some fun! So we had her running all over her room and just having a ball with all her toys and just everything and anything she could get. We played chase with her and I even had her stack some toys on Grandpa as he laid on the ground. At one point she gave me all her giant Carebears and when I asked her to put them back, she took them right back to their original spot, one by one, and put them in a giant dog pile! haha it was cute. Later Grandpa started really getting loud and playing with her and that threw her off guard. She stood there with her back towards him staring at the wall and softly jibber jabbering in a way she does when shes unsure about something. Grandpa continued to talk loud to see what she would do and to our amazement she turned around, walked up her to Grandpa who was laying on his tummy on the ground, and slowly and softly gave him a kiss on the top of his head. AWWWWWwwwwww! We just melted, especially Grandpa. She NEVER gives kisses on her own and rarely does it even when asked so this was a big moment. It was priceless! We all continued to play and at one point My Dad and I pretended to fight over Mia's favorite blankey. We were playing tug-o-war with it and arguing to see what Mia would do. Right away she stopped playing on the other side of the room and looked at us and started to cry, she didn't want anyone to hurt her prized blankey!!! haha So we quickly gave it back to her and she was happy again. No body better mess with her blankey thats for sure! Later Daddy came in the room to join the fun and we all got rowdier. Thats about the time when her Grandma Pizano called on the phone. Grandpa handed Mia the phone and she actually started chatting with her Grandma. She even said Kitty and Dada to her, it was really cute. After she was done talking and Grandpa took over the phone did she really start getting super rowdy. She was screaming and playing all over her room, from one side to the other! It was too funny. She also has a new favorite word.. OW! She says OW to anything and everything if it makes her mad or frustrated. At one point her toy watch made her mad and she said OW! and threw it. Another time she hit her head on small table and said OW and rubbed her head. She always says OW to everything!! haha Anyways, eventually play time was over and it was time to go down stairs.

We all played a bit downstairs and after giving Mia her dinner and watching some Elmo it was time for bed. Her Grandpa is up there right now as I write this, rocking her in the rocking chair. He loves to rock her to sleep and lay her down and I don't blame him, I love doing that too! Overall the day has been fun, but those stories stick out in my head the most and I just had to share them. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?!?!
